Hi, I'm Jennifer, a Kansas native, recently retired providing me time & resources to dig into the stories which created my existence. I want to visit as many locations as I can that led to my parents chance meet in Hays, Kansas. I want to understand why and how my family connected with each other, showing how our friendships may not be as random as once thought. The creation of our nation has many stories. My family gave sweat and life to this nation. No matter how imperfect, it's a creation still in progress.  I want to share history that hopefully explains why we are at the path we are currently on & how no matter how tough life is, it is a life worth living!


My goal is this: To blog about family history, using travel as a conduit to bring their stories to life.
To experience travel away from the interstate; go to the forgotten towns where grandparents played.
I want to find new friends on that street corner who I meet while they work on their old building/barn they desperately want to save.  I want to see the excitement in the eyes of the small hotel owner who spent his last dime to make sure the old hotel sees another decade. I want to meet the artist in the small antique store. All while bringing my connection to that part of history in focus with genealogy.
The peace and tranquility of the back road is where we find happiness. These stories are worth sharing. I want others to see our unique journeys so they can take our ideas to share with their family, friends so they can experience the journey, their own Taisteal.
